All happening in mid Bedfordshire today with Glossy ibis and White stork. Wasn't able to get out but managed an hour at Grovebury and had a beautiful summer plum Bar Tailed Godwit drop in.

Nice to see up to 6 Dukes today in Bedfordshire even though it was a bit windy.Also single Grizzled skipper and Dingy Skipper.

On the beach at Titchwell yesterday. Must have been something I said. A wall butterfly along the path was nice.

Bit quite my end bird wise. So here's a Golden Bloomed Grey Longhorn Beetle.Looks like he's carrying Porcupine Quills.

Had the most brilliant morning watching Honey Buzzards at Swanton Novers. Up to 3 birds seen. Butterfly display was incredible never seen that before.Also a Goshawk carrying what looked like a Rat. No photo so here's a swan with polish Babies Cley. 😊

Cracking day at Titchwell Thursday for waders.The yellowlegs was copying the Avocets sweeping up his prey.Bumped into a Wall too.

Finally got a Southern Migrant Hawker to land.They sure have a lot of energy. One of two in Bedfordshire.

Really pleased to find a Pied Flycatcher today with 3juv and 2ad Spotted flycatcher on Whipsnade Common.

Hawaiian goose at college lake today.Bit lost I think.

Great day at Elmley yesterday.The Red Footed Falcon wiping out the local Dragonflys. A Merlin chasing Skylarks. And a rare sight for us in Bedfordshire,a covey of 27 Grey Partridge.

Ivinghoe beacon this morning. Not often you see Hummingbird Hawkmoth moth not being a Hummingbird. Decided to have a sunbath.

The Quail was very vocal this morning in the pea field at Ivinghoe Beacon. Also saw Painted Lady , Dark Green Frittilary and a really bright Brown Argus second brood I suppose.

Whinchat and Wheatear just appeared out the pea field Ivinghoe.

There I was thinking I had a male Ring Ouzel flying in for a patch tick.Damn.

A bit of sunshine at last. Counted 22 Scarce Chasers along the River Ouse at Roxton Beds.
