There was no body that looked after the needs of public transport users the last time they delayed the Metro. But now we’re here. We shan’t be going quietly. Anyone fancy a protest? #Metrolink #Metro #ClimateAction

If you are in the Greater Dublin Area you must email your TDs and Councillors. The delay to Metrolink will negatively affect the entire region as we all suffer the consequences of congestion We've written a template that you can copy and paste dublincommuters.ie/post/metrolink…

Really poor response from Govt to our #Metrolink #dail debate this evening. It feels like we're going backwards with new artificial barriers being put in place. I hope I'm wrong but it feels like we're being prepared for a massive disappointment and delays. We need #Metrolink!

It was €35bn for public transport a week ago, then €35bn for all of transport now just €12bn for public transport. €6bn on roads but it hard to imagine where the €13bn on "maintenance" will go except on more road expansion.

When you see how active travel and public transport is done in other places and how brilliant it can work, we need more of our elected officials to have such experiences to come back here and make the necessary changes.

244 violent deaths of women in Ireland since 1996. That's almost 10 women killed every year. Absolutely shameful and disgraceful. This is not okay. Ever man in Ireland needs to take a long hard look at ourselves and evaluate what we can personally change to make a difference.

Tuned into watch a bizarre Fingal County Council Development Plan meeting there this evening. Not quite Handforth Parish Council level but not far off it.

This should be the ultimate goal in Ireland for intercity travel. Cycle to your train station. Frequent fast trains to most destinations. Either bringing your own bike or renting a public bike at your destination station and cycle onwards from there.

#MedicalScientists solidarity with our Medical scientists today as they start their first day of strikes. Essential lab cover is still being provided during this strike too. They deserve fair pay compared to similar professions. MLSA

A LUAS extension to the airport is not the answer and ignores others communities of the North County. We need @METROLINK_IE to start construction now.

Swords along with the rest of Fingal needs more of these safe walking and cycling routes to our schools, shops and sport clubs. We need to stop the Parent Taxi culture and let our kids have the independence previous generations had.

Designing our cities for cycling and walking is a political choice that is often shouted down by many; including our politicians. It takes courage and time to transform our cities into livable ones.

Our kids should be able to safely cycle to their schools, sport clubs and to visit their friends. Cycling skills are important to learn. We also need the safe cycle infrastructure to go with those skills. We need to stop the parent taxi culture and give our kids independence.
