Snowball rolling today in #physed. K-1 was rolling their snowball to decorate their cookies and 2-5 was rolling to grow their trees. Fun times before break!

I am so happy for my friend Cindie Lou!!! She does such outstanding things for her students and for other PE teachers. This honor is incredibly deserved!

It’s getting Cosmic here at Kaneland McDole Elem. Bowling is a fan favorite every year!

One of Kaneland McDole Elem SS favorite units. BALANCING! We use various equipment to create a Floor is Lava course. Also incorporate different levels of going over and under and some strength with the floor traverse wall. Lots of fun learning! #physed!

For my 4th grade added an additional challenge to our balancing obstacle course. They must also balance a stuffed animal on their head while doing the course. Great at slowing them down and making them think about balancing. I believe I owe Julie Botkin for this twist.

I am incredibly honored to work at Kaneland McDole Elem with an amazingly supportive community. We raised just under $24,000 during our fundraising. I couldn’t be more proud of the 5th grade leaders choosing Anderson Humane and Baby Oliver to support and all grades coming together.

This hits home hard! My mom wrote the local newspaper because a male coach from the community moved away and was being successful as a coach. He got a whole page spread. I was doing the exact same thing at the exact same time and NOTHING! They finally gave me a tiny paragraph.

4 different ways to play tic-tac-toe (bowling, plank, ring races, and cone flip) and work on different fitness components and skills. Kaneland McDole Elem students working on our sportsmanship and cooperation as well. #physed

Well it is definitely a #physed version of exercise tic-tac-toe I hadn’t thought of! Kids can be very creative when given the voice and choice.
