Back in the 1950s, my father was Cheshire Chess Champion. But I never took it up. I regret it now - now I find The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix (and the novel) is the most exciting series I’ve seen in a long time. Or ever. Absolutely loved it!

It was 60 years ago today - Feb 2, 1962 - I was at the Oasis ClubManchester for the Beatles first prof. gig outside Liverpool. Wish I could remember more of it!

Don’t know about you, but I’m seeing far more adverts/suggestions/viral tweets here than tweets from people I actually follow. Time to leave Twitter, I think.

If everyone who has ever been grateful for a doctor followed and retweeted we would reach a million in minutes and be able to show all NHS staff the support they continue to need. It will take just a few seconds of your life but could make such a difference.

Today, Steve was awarded the Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor. He was a visionary who challenged us to see the world not for what it is, but for what it could be. We cherish his memory and we’ll continue building on his legacy.

Really sad to hear of the passing of David Warner. It was his Hamlet in 1965 that got me into Shakespeare, a life-long love. I remember him with fondness and appreciation. #DavidWarner
