So much rewriting of history on the #hs2 project. 1. It’s got nothing to do with a £100mn Bat Tunnel….thats Labour diversionary tactics to have taxpayers and party loyalists once again attack “nimbys” who they want you to blame for the mess that’s #hs2

2. If there was indeed no blank cheque for #hs2 as Ed Balls said, why then was #hs2 budget allowed to escalate and get out of control and why has the Transport Secretary just signed a blank cheque for yet another #hs2 ExecutiveTeam promising to get costs down!

3. The cost of the project rose simply because the original budgets passed by Parliament to give it Royal Assent was pure lies by contractors and consultants conspiring to commit fraud! They deliberately did no ground investigation work….

HS2 - and useless Labour just keep digging Several letters in today's Telegraph. The first, rightly, lays blame on utterly incompetent civil servants in the Department for Transport. But the progenitors were Baron Adonis and Prof McNaughton.

4. If they did the ground investigations as they were asked to do by Arups in 09, they would know the ground was so poor on their selected route it would mean substantial reinforcement and bespoke structures….none of which was accounted for in their pre Royal Assent budgets!

5. This has all been deliberate, it is conspiracy to commit fraud and it has been covered up by the Civil Service and successive Prime Ministers including Keir Starmer #hs2

Keir Starmer And Starmer knows there are 3 ex Directors of #hs2 who have testified that #hs2 deliberately misrepresented costs/budgets to MPs to secure Royal Assent. The DFT Civil Servants were complicit!

Why has the government allocated 25 billion to #HS2 in the spending review before it knows the full cost or delivery date. Utterly bonkers! Blank cheque

Well done UK, HS2 is so bad it has become news in France. And their generous enough to refer to it as a British "TGV" despite HS2 trains having an average speed far below TGV's 320 kph.
