This patient fixed their own type 2 diabetes via social media. Usual GP didn’t comment on this result. But did mention a statin dose increase. That’s the state of affairs. It’s a strange world. HbA1c 13.6 ➡️5.6 in 4 months. All by themselves. No drugs. Just google. #lowcarb

Google search led this patient to HbA1c drop 13.6 ➡️5.6% .No drugs. Just google. I’m thinking the patients might know more sometimes.

Bile Acids as Anti-depressants 🤔We are only beginning to unravel the mechanistic mysteries around the ways in which how we eat and live as physical beings impacts our minds. Now, new data published in Neuron adds interesting piece to the puzzle and demonstrate how

The most shocking trial in modern cardiology continues to find no signal of PCI benefit, despite enrolling pts most likely to benefit. How the “clogged pipe” frame of thinking persists despite such evidence amazes me.

This is interesting 🤔 Would love to see a properly designed RCT to confirm. Subgroup/post hoc analyses of FIELD corroborates these data but don’t want to get burned again like PROMINENT w/ RCT specifically designed to address the question at hand.

For individuals within governments, corporations and media to become the judgement and arbiters of what is deemed as misinformation, is a form of authoritarian misinformation. Quite often they are the spreaders of misinformation. This was clearly evident during the Covid era.

Does the brain change during pregnancy? You bet it does. How about doing 26 MRI scans on a single person pre-conception to 2 years post-partum. WOW! Laura Pritschet and colleagues nailed it with their new paper in Nature Neuroscience. Key Points: - The authors point out that pregnancy

Love learning from Prof Ken Sikaris. He suggests the total chol/ HDL ratio under 4.5 is the best measure of small dense LDL. Lots of Dave Feldman research discussed. #lowcarbdownunder Low Carb Down Under

This is a photo of Port Macquarie paediatrician who fought Macdonalds and won. Stopped them building a restaurant next to the primary and high school in a suburban area. Instead we now have a medical centre! Low Carb Down Under

Carnivore Aurelius ©🥩 ☀️🦙 This is so disappointing to see. I used to appreciate your commentary on diet and culture. I'm not sure what's caused your change, but it's become a common-enough occurrence. You're clearly captured by these ideas, so my comments are not meant for you, but rather for any who

Even more tragic in that these are largely preventable, caused by our modern foods.
