Kudos to Lee Bisset for a searing portrayal of Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung at Longborough Festival Opera yesterday. In a dark, male-dominated opera, Bisset's passionately sung performance was a gleaming symbol of fierce intelligence and female agency.
