Nature is being scapegoated for developers’ failure to build affordable homes. There’s no evidence wildlife is the blocker. We must defend green spaces and smash the broken developer-led model driving the housing crisis. Amendment 69 will stop the destruction of nature.

Spot on Chris Hinchliff MP Let’s put sustainable, affordable homes before the profit margins of developers. I’ll be backing the amendments that ensure that. Urge your MP to as well.

The Bill does nothing for people in temporary accommodation Labour needs to fund social housing to sort that out. Stop blaming nature and leave Chris Hinchliff MP alone. He understands that Labour’s policy of letting the private sector be in the driving seat won’t solve the crisis

The Planning & Infrastructure Bill scraps protections for nature while expecting more homes to follow. Yet the Government admits there is almost no evidence these safeguards block developments. This is absurdity! Ministers must accept my amendments to protect our environment.

Absolutely blown away by Chris Hinchliff MP’s powerful, passionate call for the govt to rethink this bill and its devastating impact on nature. If you’re not following him yet — you should be!

The housing crisis is a national emergency. We must rapidly deliver new council housing. 164,000 children are homeless in temporary accommodation. Families need council homes now. Let's tax the mega-profits of the developers who contributed to this crisis to help fund it.

This is insane. Well done to these MPs for doing the right thing. Chris Hinchliff MP stood up for nature and actually listened to ecology experts. He deserves a medal for that not a suspension.
