A2: As a principal, I modeledl behaviors I wanted staff to display with their students...made sure staff had a sense of Belonging #mschat

A2: Look beyond the surface, notice when a student is withdrawn or showing different behavior, KNOW YOUR KIDS! #mschat

Determine if a student's behavior is "appropriately" inappropriate and act accordingly...a kid being a kid... #mschat

A3: Overcoming stereotypes and preconceived beliefs about young adolescents...staff MUST understand YA growth and development #mschat

A3: Fixed mindsets of students and of staff...if they don't or won't believe in themselves or their students, it's an uphill road #mschat

A4: opportunities to explore, discover their passions, risk-taking is encouraged, growth is recognized...#mschat

A4: Implementation of student-led conferences - such a fabulous way for students to demonstrate they are becoming... #mschat

A4: Demonstrate concern for the community and world beyond their school...and take action to impact it #mschat

A5: As principal, fight to keep ms concepts alive and well, ensure Ts understand YA behaviors, be creative in offering exploratories #mschat

Opportunities for authentic S leadership, ensure they know their voice is heard and impt, implement their suggestions when possible #mschat
