Teaching is the only career where we're constantly reminded that it's not about the money. The mantra is 'we're in it for the kids,' as if we should just expect to sacrifice a fair wage for our 'calling'.

This news is a stark reminder of just how undervalued teachers are.

My home insurance rate increased by 12.5% and I didn’t make a claim.

My auto insurance rate increased by 15% and I didn’t make a claim.

The left has been morally correct on Gaza for months. The desperate calls for a permanent ceasefire. The imploring Biden and Congress to ACT. The screams for aid to be allowed in. Let the left lead when it comes to humanity. The URGENCY to save lives resides on the left. Period.

If you think, as I do, that Trump is very dangerous, then it is a moral imperative to focus on getting Biden to change.
