Couldn’t have done it without the help of our fantastic nursing staff and junior medical staff on the ICU and of course our fabulous research, transfusion and pharmacy departments who have set the trial up and done the training - team effort!

My hospital in Chester is treating patients with Covid-19 in 40% of our general & acute beds, yet the news is all about London. Gives the population the impression that the problem is not theirs and the solution not in their hands. PLEASE stay at home!

To all my colleagues in intensive care - I would be delighted if you might firstly consider voting in the ICS Council elections, and secondly whether you might consider supporting my own application! Thanks Pete

#questiontime On average we consumed 2kg a year of sugar 40 years ago - that’s now 100kg a year - that’s why the nation is becoming obese - tax the companies who add this to food and subsidise fruit and vegetable production!
