A new social contract was established today between the terminally ill and the state on assisted dying. It’s one I profoundly worry about and disagree with. That’s why I voted against assisted dying today.

Age is a number. I was elected at 19 and re-elected at 23 with an even higher percentage of the vote. Competence isn’t about age, it’s about ability, vision, and doing the best for your community. Our best councillors nationally are under 30, are they no longer welcome?

Homelessness has gone up every month under this Labour Government, however I didn’t expect the Homelessness Minister to be so hands on in causing it.

The right thing for the Minister to resign seeing as her actions would breach her own renters reform legislation. Time for the government to now reduce the rise in homelessness.
