Feminist solutions to climate change via podcasts from Mary Robinson’s Climate Justice and Mothers of Invention. First up is Climate Litigation. Really good to see (and hear). tracking.feedpress.it/link/19672/982…

“What happens After Authenticity: Polysemic Consumption” by Tom Hoy. A great article on how to read the cultural shifts going on around us. blog.usejournal.com/what-happens-a…

I can think of much better things to spend £800m on than freezing fuel duty. How about a boost for our broken bus network? How about improvements to our railways? How about investment in making our streets safe for cyclists? We need decent public transport, not petrol subsidies

Terrible customer service from smile UK part of The Co-operative Bank UK. ATM failed to give cash 3 days ago, gave us an error slip but our account still debited. 6 failed attempts to use Smile Live Chat, 3 failed Secure Message attempts and several phone calls later no progress!!

When I first heard George Monbiot make this argument, I was instantly persuaded. I have sinced talked of climate breakdown, not climate change - and while we are at it: 'the living planet', not 'the environment'. Language matters.

The idea of developing / developed nations has lost its meaning in the 21st c because no country is close to living in the Doughnut. So how to rename these country clusters: A,B,C,D? Check out my G20 blog and share yr ideas below kateraworth.com/2018/12/01/doi…

At last - the leaders we need are showing up. All power to your generation, Greta. Where adults have failed,15 year-olds are driving change.

My granddad was an avid nazi until his death in the early 90s. He was a small town banker, volunteered in 40 and became a staff sergeant in the Wehrmacht. He was leading a so called "anti partisan" unit at the Eastern Front, participated in the capture of Kiew.

If we render the IMF's voting allocations in per capita terms, it reveals how extreme the power inequalities are. An American's vote is worth 60 times more than an Ethiopian's vote. A British vote is worth 41 times more than a Bangladeshi vote. It's a kind of global apartheid.
