You try to think of some new form of words to describe the depraved insanity of children being repeatedly massacred. Of the fact that if these kids were Israelis or other Westerners, the outrage would eclipse everything. And then you realise you have no more words

when we talk about censorship in Canadian media, this is what we mean. Not a single Canadian news outlet considers news like this worthy of front page coverage.

Very cool company the National Post's editor in chief is keeping on this paid-for trip to Israel, from which I'm sure we'll be getting very nuanced reporting!1!1!! Keean Bexte, Harrison Faulkner and the National Post's Rob Roberts...just the top talent in the media world, folks.

So Israel is now shooting at Canadian diplomats. The country has zero respect for international law. Reminds me of when Israel killed a Cdn soldier in 2006 at a UN outpost. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

When does the racism and violence end? The anti-semitism that spurred the Oct 7 atrocities and murder of this young Jewish couple. The anti-Palestinian racism that is justifying the genocide of a people. The world must act to stop the dehumanization and violence.

The bubble zone debate at Toronto city council today is part of a national trend Similar laws are popping up everywhere, especially in response to Palestine solidarity actions, and they pose a serious threat to free expression and dissent My latest breachmedia.ca/bubble-zone-pr…

The bubble zone bylaw that passed is even worse than the one that was proposed. Huge appreciation for the ton of folks who mobilized against this, and while the criminalization of dissent is now further emboldened, unjust laws have never stopped movements fighting for justice.

The recent announcements of job cuts at Employment and Social Development of Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency threaten the public services that workers and families across the country rely on every day. Read more: psacunion.ca/1100-jobs-cut-…

As a matter of social policy, it makes no sense to end the vital public service of equitable and affordable home mail delivery. But for those who see govt as a business, and focus on the price of everything but know the value of nothing, cutting Canada Post makes sense.

Wonderful news today from Geneva! #WHA78 adopted the #SkinDiseasesResolution! Grateful to so many but especially lead member state Côte d’Ivoire and GlobalSkin members for their incredible advocacy in helping us to achieve this incredible milestone!

Paul Champ Elderly & disabled must have home delivery. Rural post offices must not be closed. Canada Post is a public service like cops & firefighters. It must be funded accordingly sticking to its core mandate.

City of Toronto lawyers advised Council that bylaw is likely unconstitutional. And it’s better than the Ottawa’s! Who will pay for costs when (not if) Ottawa’s bylaw is struck down by courts? And I hope someone told Mark Sutcliffe about Power decision and risk of damages.

This outrageous lawlessness by correctional authorities demands the public's attention. We can't look away. Doug Downey should be recommending a public inquiry into this mass violation of Charter rights.

Toronto Star article today on the "Code of Silence" by Maplehurst staff, lying about the torture and beatings of inmates reminded me of 2013 Ontario Ombudsperson's report "The Code". It included a coverup of the beating of a mentally ill inmate in OCDC. We need to care.
