It is looking beautiful around Ughill now. Dandelions and buttercups are plentiful, walls being repaired, grass lushly green, trees beginning to come in leaf. We saw a few Lapwings and Crow but no sadly no Curlew.

It looks like OS Leisure Ordnance Survey #OSMaps is back up and running. Bit of a worry that it should disappear like that for everyone, and not a word from OS. If you'd have been out in the wilds relying on it you'd be a bit stuffed.

Very saddened to read Bernard Hill has died. His portrayal of Yosser Hughes in Boys from the Black Stuff was the first time I saw that people were taking notice to what Thatcher was doing to a whole section of society. A performance that has never left my mind.
