Many folk have been in touch with me about the engagement for the Greenbank-Meadows Quiet Route which goes live tomorrow🚶‍♂️🌳 🚲 I have a number of concerns about the process surrounding the development of the engagement options and have written to @CllrScottArthur about this.

Pogrom. There is a a holiday let owner in Edinburgh who thinks this is an appropriate word to use to describe regulation of airbnbs. And this gets quoted as if it’s not a batshit thing to say? What an unserious country we are becoming.

Well that’s… offensive. I know residents who were very happy in city centre who moved because they just couldn’t cope with unregulated STLs in their stair… It’s not ‘prime downtown tourist Scotland’ these places have been inhabited by communities for hundreds of years.

In May, I asked the Council leader about the increased use of glyphosate in the city (and mentioned slime and mushrooms whilst doing so) ⤵️🎬🍄 This report about phasing out its use is very welcome, but I’ll be keeping an eye on this to make sure it’s not an empty promise 🧐

I'm delighted that with #GreensInGovernment we're piloting an end to peak time fares from this October 🎟️🚂 A reduction in ticket prices will help people choose greener transport options, while keeping our climate ambitions on track. greens.scot/news/cheaper-g…

What a fantastic trip to Wardie Beach to pick up litter today. Mostly found drinks containers - if only we had a deposit return scheme! 🏖️🧃 Amazing job team, two full bags in under an hour! 🌍

At yesterday’s Housing, Homelessness & Fair Work committee Susan Rae and I had some good wins on: • Biodiversity in retrofitting 🐛 • Fairer funding for the housing service, not built on the backs of tenants ⚖️ • A new just transition employment programme👷‍♀️ [1/]

GOTV was extra important today. Lots of folk unaware of the ridiculous photo ID requirements the Tories have brought in for Westminster elections. After a quick chat they were even more motivated to vote & not let Tory voter suppression stop them #VoteScottishGreens

Last week was Policy & Sustainability Committee - it was such a busy week that I didn't tweet at the time, but the meeting gave lots of opportunities to reflect on some of the changes that Edinburgh Greens are bringing to the council, and to the city as a whole!🧵
