Xmas in Orlando. 60’s.

Hey everyone. I donate platelets 2x a month. The need is greater than for regular blood donations. It takes 2 hours. You can watch a movie while donating. It’s a good way to give back and helps people who have suffered burns to their body. It’s uplifting to help out.

On set of a student film. Cool place to be to see movie making in action, actual clapperboard to identify each scene in action and see all the gears turning in an organized chaos kinda way. Really energizing.

My pup in deep sleep. REM sleep? Maybe. Can’t tell if the eyes are moving rapidly. The movement isn’t running, but what could it be? It will likely remain a mystery for all time.

The view from the other side of the bed. This is a single needle process. Can do double needle but I couldn’t move either of my arms for two hours - no go on that. Double needle only saves me about 10 mins.

This donation is my 24th donation in a year. That is the healthy related limit that is allowed, so I can’t donate again until Sept 23rd, to allow my body to recover. With that in mind, if anyone is inspired to, step up to the plate and give. People need platelets/blood everyday.

That’s scary. Was anyone hurt? I can’t imagine what it would be like to have to stop my car and even be able to get out. I’d be afraid that it would collapse under my feet

This was my last donation on July 4th. How did I learn it was my last you say?? I couldn’t because every donor is limited to 24 times in a year long period. Sept 23rd my body will have regenerated and I can start on my next 24. Who’s with me??
