I think a lot of Americans really don't know how much the American Revolution was precipitated by the Crown's abuse of the policing power against the colonists. It was *central*, and often led to unrest, riots, tarring and feathering and the like.

Some are calling for Juneteenth to be a national holiday. How about we go further & pass healthcare & living wages for all, a fully restored Voting Rights Act & reparations, etc. Please don’t just ask for a holiday. Let’s make it a holy day of repentance & reconstruction.

Neither Medicare4All, free tuition at state colleges and universities, cancellation of college loan debt nor the Green New Deal are radical propositions. They are simply a realignment of public policy with an effort to help people thrive. What’s radical is the opposition to them.

Let’s be very clear. The officials urging for no serious consequences after Wednesday’s attack on our country - including the impeachment, removal, expulsion, and/or indictment of officials who aided, abetted, or incited the attack - are opening the door for it to happen again.

Trump needs to go, but the over glofication of how great our Democracy is needs to go too. We have massive work to do to make this the country the wonder that every pundit magnifies now. That begins breaking the 1% control Things pundits will never say.

You know what will help this country heal? Accountability.   Republican colleagues are always telling Biden that he needs to heal this country. My question for them is what actions are they prepared to take to promote healing considering so many of us were literally attacked?

All but 5 Senate Republicans think it's unconstitutional to convict a president who incited an attempted overthrow of the U.S. government. Never forget that.

Call me old-fashioned, but I don't see how you can have a fair trial if the jurors are co-conspirators. Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and any other seditionists in the Senate must be expelled for helping to incite an insurrection at the Capitol — before the Senate trial.
