40 years ago Vigier Guitars marketed the first memory guitar in the world, the #Nautilus. 19 memory sounds with 2 parametric equalizers, pickups selections, volume, etc... At the time, this innovation caused a stir!๐Ÿ˜€

Another system that doesn't generate sells for our guitars, but we did it anyway, because we were tired of seeing the neck get out of alignment, especially during transport. This is our #LockNeck, which secures the neck transversely. Super simple but efficient.

In 1980 we introduced the world's first #fretless bass with a metal fingerboard. Looking at it, we can think that the sound is metallic, however it is not with the eyes that you have to listen but with your ears.๐Ÿ˜‡ This #Excess #iMetal is probably the last one we'll do.

In 1980 we were the only manufacturer to shield the electronic of our guitars with a nickel-based paint. Now, for a few years we have been using an even more efficient copper-based paint. It doesn't sell guitars, but we do it because we like what's good for music ๐Ÿ˜€

Here's another thing we do on our guitars: Adjust the height of the humbucker pole piece screws. The reason is to balance the output level of each string. Here, for a string set with a plain G, the G pole piece is lower than the E. Why only few manufacturers do it?

Listen with your eyes! Few bassists tried my fretless with metal fingerboards, fearing they'd sound cold, but the tone is warm + double bass tones possible! Sustain enhances expressiveness. It took 17 years to get guitarists into fretless, but I failed to convince bassists...

This morning, someone asked me if I adjust the height of guitar pickups off the cuff ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Hereโ€™s the chart of my response! ๐Ÿ˜Š
