Running can be as solo or group oriented as you'd like to make it! If you do better alone, do that at your own pace! If you like a group for the support, that's great too! Love both personally. Race days are awesome! Pic between me and my father

"The best exercise is the one that gets done" For me, exercising in the morning often works better mentally. Get it done and you don't have to worry about it the rest of the day

Remember learning back in the day that 10 minutes of consecutive activity at least is needed to confer health benefits But, id argue even a smaller amount of physical activity even at leisure time may be beneficial for many people. Planned, structured or otherwise

One of my colleagues a few years ago asked her patient: "What's more important to you, your health or making more money?" He responded "more money" without hesitation I'd challenge... what is the value of money if you don't have the health and relationships to enjoy it with?

About 3 years ago I hit the age where, as a man, I was now required to make groaning noises every time I stood up. Even in the absence of discomfort I don't make the rules

I did 2 runs this weekend. 4 miles Saturday and 3 miles today I went slower for me, I enjoyed the scenery, I enjoyed getting outdoors, I enjoyed getting a workout I didn't care about pace, what zone I'm in, who passed me, etc It doesn't need to be complicated!

Again, the best exercise is the one that gets done I don't care if you run, lift weights, play tennis, or just more routinely take the stairs at work. Even a small amount of structured and leisure time physical activity can make a difference

Just over 10 years ago I was told my hip arthritis (due to cam type FAI) was so bad I should stop running. Last week I ran my 1st real marathon in 2:34 with no hip joint pain. Don’t believe everything you are told….
