The ER is weird because in one room you have a provider telling a patient they have cancer while outside in the hallway you have a naked man trying to fight staff.

Every medical specialty has relatively benign words that, when spoken to a lay-person, mean very little, but within the specialty, raises immediate concern and/or springs us into action. For my specialty, it’s “Shoulder!” and “Cord!” What are yours? 🤔
