Aerith’s story involves themes of appropriation of indigenous identity, erasure, and marginalization. Tifa’s story involves themes of survival under capitalism, ghettoization, and the case for violent resistance. I wish more people engaged with those parts of their stories.

On top of being funny, this movie is such a good way of introducing kids to the concepts of social inequality, prejudice, of how those lead to this idea of "evil" thats built upon, encouraged and nurtured by society rather than innate, how those at the bottom are pushed there
