An absolute pleasure to work with some of our history colleagues in the final History Matters session of the year. Today, we focused on the challenges of teaching he GCSE specification. Thanks to everyone involved throughout the year.

A very moving visit to the Donner Party memorial in California. Out of the 90 migrants in the party, 42 died from starvation or exposure during the winter of 1846-47. The snow depth reached 22 feet, which is the height of the memorial base.
