Adopted this religiously since lockdown - blocking morning hours just for myself. No meetings, no calls, nothing. Just my morning rituals. Since June, also blocked time for my meals and post dinner walks. Definitely going to carry this practice beyond covid times.

Even small steps — a daily walk, a short morning meditation, a 60-second break to focus on gratitude — can help us build our resilience, which improves both our health and our productivity.

The cool thing about meditation is that you experience the benefits even after one time trying it. You notice things you don't usually notice. You are calm, you react well to situations, you are focused. Less overthinking, negative thoughts, chattering... Fully present.

Holding companies are interesting. They trade at a massive discount to their portfolio companies. For most of them, this discount went over 80% few months back. KR Choksey came out with an interesting list of HoldCos to consider investing.

I was discussing with parents if I should buy a car once offices resume. Discussion ended without even getting started. They said, "pehle laadi ban ja phir gaadi le lena". 😒🤦‍♀️ (Laadi = bride/daughter-in-law)

Is IPO a lottery system for retailers? Well, yes, mostly. But should it be? Well, no of course :) Can something be done to make it a more serious game? Ummm, I have some thoughts. Shared them in a very simple way. Look forward to know your views jvaibhav.com/2020/09/09/the…

Don't be a victim of the news. You can check a few websites (e.g., CNN, NYT, WSJ) once a day and know MORE than enough. You can check once a week and that'd be plenty. The whole business of today's "breaking news" is built on outrage → clicks → attention. It's largely a sham.

Rather surprisingly, we celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on a monthly team call today. Folks from London, Ireland, & US wore Indian clothes, prepared a video with facts on Gandhi, & shared a few episodes of his life. Ae vatan playing in the background throughout. Chills, literal chills.
