Understanding D&D discourse: In any other genre/medium, a game as complex as D&D would be at the EXTREME HIGH END of complexity. (600+ pages of rules! Massive asymmetric design! Dozens of sub-systems!) Only the most hardcore of hardcore fans would play it.

Recently picked up His Majesty the Worm by Joshy McCroo - His Majesty the Worm Out Now! and I'm loving the system! I especially like that tarot cards are used as a random number generator (something I might stitch into other systems to replace certain dice). It also has really unique combat mechanics!
