It's with great sadness that I hear of the death of Michael Jayston. He portrayed the Valeyard so brilliantly, and it was a true privilege to meet him in person at DWAS ONLINE PanoptiCon some years ago – an experience I'll never forget. Rest in peace, Michael.

RIP William Russell, who played the valiant school-teacher Ian in #DoctorWho when it debuted in 1963. It was a privilege to have met him at DWAS ONLINE #TheCapitol and thank him for the joy he brought to countless fans. A true gentleman.

Thanks John Connolly for including this rhyme in A Game Of Ghosts and bringing back terrifying memories of Sapphire and Steel... 😵‍💫
