Very excited about this one. Urgent. Rigorous. A worldview, not just an argument. Never published a book quite like it. (Coming in February on the Crown Currency list).

Two stunning Crown Publishing March nonfiction titles have arrived — both engrossing all-but-forgotten tales from American history, from Gold Rush San Francisco to the U.S. home front in WW2. Can’t wait to see these in the world. Congratulations Gary Krist and Bill Geroux!
