York and Lancaster Counties were cleared from the Tornado Watch, and the severe threat is over towards Philadelphia. Locally, watch for instances of localized flooding due to heavier rain.

While the SWPC expects the center of the CME to miss Earth, G3-G4 storm levels are expected! This means aurora's can potentially be seen down into the mid-latitudes!

OTD 40 years ago, the biggest tornado outbreak occurred in the northeast. There were several F4 tornadoes and one F5 tornado. This satellite loop from the NWS shows an explosion supercells that produced violent tornadoes. This is the only time PA has ever recorded an F5 tornado.

This was a crazy event with the storms coming through my area at 11:00 AM. and then additional storms developed during the afternoon that were also severe.
