Team Iguanas are ready for sports day! 🥈🥇🥉

We have Kids Country coming in to help harvest our potatoes on Tuesday. Please bring your potato plants back to school on Monday or Tuesday morning . Let’s hope it’s a bumper crop this year! Iguanas

We will be harvesting our potatoes tomorrow afternoon, so will not be doing PE. Please ensure you bring your tub of potatoes back to school in the morning (green tops can now be cut off). Finger's crossed for a good crop Kids Country

We spent a great afternoon Kids Country harvesting our potatoes. First we tipped the pots out to see if we had any hidden in the roots

Once we had harvested our potatoes 🥔 we got them bagged and weighed Kids Country

Our second activity included some interesting facts about the top 3 potato growing countries in the world 🌎 but even better than that was trying some delicious potato salad! Kids Country

Not that the Iguanas are competitive you understand, but we were delighted to find out that one of our class had the heaviest bag of potatoes 🥔 - he grew 500g of new potatoes in his pot!! Kids Country

I think we’ve all experienced the learning pit this afternoon, as we tried to do a running stitch in DT. However, with some resilience and concentration, we got there in the end. Great job Iguanas 🦎 🪡🧵#owpsdt

We had our final history lesson of the year yesterday, where the children had to use their history detective skills to work out when the seaside photographs were taken - were they from over 100 years ago, from the 1950’s or the present day? #owpshistory Neil Thompson

Tomorrow is the last day of term - we've finally made it :-) Just to remind everyone that is uniform as usual, and the children can bring a (non-electronic) toy to play with. Please don't bring anything really precious, or with gazillions of small parts!
