Looking forward to hearing my composition 'Silent City' played by BBC NOW soon. Sadly the first session has been postponed until early March but I had a cracking conversation with their conductor today about the challenges in my piece - at least February is a short month!

Marking St George's Day by starting arranging a fantastic English work for string orchestra. There's something very magical about this ensemble (made most famous by Vaughan Williams), and his everlasting inspiration is indeed behind Butterworth's Two English Idylls.

The view from pre-concert! An amazing experience working with BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and John Wilson on my new critical edition of Bax's Spring Fire. I can't wait to hear it on Radio 3 in a few months' time!
