Big weekend around here! On Friday, the Caribbean class enshrined the pirates they’ve been studying, and on Saturday Public History students cleaned tombstones in Rose Hill Cemetery as part of Tiger Serve Day.

Yum, yum! A sample of what the Caribbean class cooked. They've added recipe blogs to their site that includes original musical comps and close reads of Car authors. This fun project has a little bit of everything--just like the region we enjoyed studying! hist3073caribbeanstudies.wordpress.com

Curious about all of those buildings, benches, and memorials on our campus? The Digital Public History class spent last semester cataloging them. You can find the site, complete with descriptions and directions, here: obumarkers.weebly.com

Members of the Coffee and Chocolate course received their tasting journals today. We look forward to a delicious and educational (but probably not nutritious) semester together!

When your mid-term exam is “just a box of random stuff.” Good job and good luck to the Archive Studies class as they organize an unprocessed collection!

Spent some engaging days learning at The Search for Humanity After Atrocity conference before an evening out to decompress. We pray for safe travels as we fly back and as everyone heads out for Fall Break!
