Our team has been engaged in drone image collection in 3 slums across Freetown as part of our Mwalai Micro grant and Know Your City Initiative. Thanks to Pete Masters Ivan Gayton and the satan for their support.
A cross section of our members participated in an online training to use the beta version of Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team 's fAIr tool for mapping buildings. This is part of the Mwalai grant to capacitate our members with emerging geospatial skills. Emmanuel BAMA Pete Masters Omran Najjar
As part of our Mwalai Micro grant, we received training from Ivan Gayton on the Field Mapping Tasking Manager. We find this to be an impactful tool to open mapping initiatives. Thanks to the Open Mapping Hub - West and Northern Africa for the support.
With support from the Open Mapping Hub - West and Northern Africa we are starting the OMAN project to introduce 400 individuals to OpenStreetMap. See you all in Kenema.
Our team ended a four days long event in Kenema introducing individuals from various background to OpenStreetMap . They were introduced to both armchair and filed mapping with the ID Editor and Every Door applications respectively. Thanks to Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team for their support.
