We need to change our approach. We need to understand inclusion much better. We need to root out injustices where they occur, and support survivors with all we can. And we need to restructure the system to empower Somali women to effect the change they need.

Strengthening collaboration is key to building a powerful movement to end female genital mutilation (FGM). Recently in 📍Mogadishu, we held a 1-day training with partners, religious & community leaders to advance community-led abandonment of #FGM, w/ support from UNFPASomalia.

#Somalia's humanitarian crisis is worsening. Due to drought, water is scarce, livestock are dying – displacing families and driving hunger. Humanitarians are providing vital aid despite funding cuts, but need more support. $852M is required to reach 2.4 million people in 2026.
