It’s okay to hate your job regardless of the type of labor. It’s okay to hate your job if it’s sex work. It’s okay to hate doing sex work even when you’re being told you should feel “empowered.” You can hate selling sex and still be completely deserving of rights and protections.

Today is International Whore's Day! IWD is an event that started on June 2nd in 1975, when over 100 sex workers began an 8-day occupation at the Saint-Nizier Church in Lyon.

Today’s news about the Long Island serial killer is hard to process especially for those actively working. I’m grateful that sw community exists, and days for honoring those we’ve lost exist, like Dec 17th International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. RIP to the victims.

Our hearts are sick. It’s is as unsurprising as it is devastating that Heuermann was under investigation/surveillance by the police while serial murdering women and femmes. The police themselves are rapists and murderers of sex workers. There is no justice, safety in policing.

Mutual aid is the radical practice of community care through direct sharing and recognizing that giver and receiver are equally integral parts of the social fabric. We appreciate what you bring to our community ❤️
