The house I grew up in was a Council House, a house in a village in #Cornwall that are now selling for £350,000+ A village that no longer has social housing & the avg house price is £800,000, all my ancestors are from here, look at the mess of it, how the fuck did it go so wrong?

It's often not just the case of starting later in life. I've always written. Been very lucky to have plays performed/tour. But I've always had to earn since leaving home at 17. I love ALL the work I do but will never know if I could have just been a writer.

The Labour council's "Improvement Plan", implemented under a Labour government, involves shutting four libraries in the poorest areas of the city.

Without rent caps, landlords can charge renters way more than we can afford. That means forcing many of us to move out while others fall behind on rent. ⚠️Rent caps based on wage growth/inflation are an essential part of keeping renters secure in our homes.⚠️

Rents need to be capped The Labour Party £1000+ for ex Council houses is not ok. Child poverty. Bad mental health. Food banks. Put a stop to property investment farming off people.
