Lovely to be working with Paul Spicer today accompanying his Choral workshop on Mendelssohn’s ’Hymn of Praise’ in Dore Abbey. Also marvellous to be accompanying the three fabulous soloists for the end of day performance. Great work from all involved - a lot of notes!

You can watch the latest YouTube release from St Chad's Cathedral any time now: Jean Langlais’ Fête is a great outburst of joy, jazzy, noisy, fun! It was also the first piece I heard David Saint play on the just-completed organ back in 1992. youtu.be/IelKloo1K8M?si…

This Thursday 3 Oct, 1:15pm in St Chad's Cathedral. All the pieces on the programme have something to say and are well worth hearing, but the Widor Choral in particular sounds absolutely lush on the St Chad’s Cathedral Walker organ - and really has to be heard in the flesh. Free entry.

The world might be heading to hell in the proverbial, but we still have music. At the end of a stressful 24 hrs it was great to have my 1st experience of our magnificent new Juliet Organ, built by William Drake Ltd & being launched in an enterprising festival Royal Birmingham Conservatoire this week

Always a joy to play the 1996 Marcussen organ in Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Today two pre-degree ceremony recitals (am/pm) for the The Open University and the Processional/Recessional Music, the latter of which will be #Widor’s Toccata from his fifth symphony. You may know it!
