Old Thom is one of the only #KillerWhales regularly seen in the North Atlantic. 🐋 According to scientist Amy from the Aquarium's #AndersonCabotCenter for Ocean Life, he’s easy to recognize thanks to a distinct notch in his dorsal fin. More: bit.ly/45iEbUf

Today we mourn the loss of Jane Goodall, one of the most passionate animal advocates the world has ever known. Through her work, she showed that wild animals can be intelligent and sentient beings, worthy of our appreciation and protection. She will be greatly missed.

starting the morning off with a mixed pod of white-sided dolphins & common dolphins! i’ve only seen common dolphins (off the east coast) once before & this is the first time seeing them with another species.. very exciting!

NEW CALF SPOTTED IN K POD!!! This afternoon, we were viewing K Pod when we spotted a very small & very orange calf amongst the K14s & K12s. We still need to go through our footage, but it appeared that the calf was primarily traveling with K36 Yoda.

There are 50 Rice's whales left alive on Earth. They live nowhere else but the Gulf of Mexico. The admin’s own scientists said *last year* oil & gas drilling would drive the species to extinction. Today, Trump's cabinet removed every protection standing between the oil industry
