Soundgarden - Superunknown A crucial chapter in both the history of grunge and 90’s music in general, this is where Soundgarden achieved breakthrough success. It also feels like this is where Cornell tempered his vocal to perfection, defining the remainder of his career.

Brenda - Bath Water Brilliant jazzy neo-soul from drummer and multi-instrumentalist Hudson Whitlock, his buttery falsetto glides over funky beats, calling to mind 60’s soul classics as readily as the modern soul movement he is known for.

The Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust My gateway to house and big beat, Exit Planet Dust remains a fresh heady combo of breaks, beats, samples, and grounded electro. A true classic on every level.

Worm - Necropalace I’m so picky about symphonic black metal, but Necropalace may be the most stunning example I’ve ever heard. It just works for me, raw and heavy while also deeply romantic. The metal album to beat in ‘26 for me.
