My god. We're stuck inside like everybody else and the Seinfeld specials are suddenly onscreen. The worst possible inane torture.

Here's a sentence from the The New York Times about more than 150,000 open tourists (what are those, anyway?) bustling through Brodie historic park, as they recall a time in which they couldn't possibly have lived. @BCDreyer you need to get over there

Could everyone PLEASE stop sharing this video of Michael Lofthouse? He’s the founder & CEO of Solid8, a tech company based in San Francisco. If it goes viral it could hurt Michael Lofthouse and Solid8, his company. Let’s all be nice to Michael Lofthouse and Solid8.

I have a long shelf of Lish-edited or -written books. It's taken a while to find this one -- an uncorrected proof, no less. Tight, severe. Deep diggings. Beautiful. #gordonlish Sigh.

Blake Butler’s “Molly” is the best book I read this year. It is so essential to everything I believe writing can be that I wish I could be reading it constantly. If only I were reading it now. latimes.com/entertainment-…

I recommend reading my book before forming an opinion of it from the tabloid media’s atrocious butchering of it based on web ephemera over which I have no control

I don't know blake butler nor Molly, and wading into the online piranha pool is a thing I mostly quit doing way back. But deep into this book I can say the prose, which seems chiseled from oblivion, is wondrously saturated with what he felt for her, and full of everybody's pain.

Only now, reading sections from blake butler's (very good) MOLLY, we realized we published 3 of Molly Brodak's poems (in 6.1 and 20.5, probably right around the time of her death). Beautiful poems that feel even more charged with meaning in this sad context. Here they are.
