BREAKING: Value Added Tax (VAT) will NOT be charged on 70 food items. That means the retail prices of these items will be reduced by 12.5%. Consumers can expect to see LOWER food prices at grocers, small shops and supermarkets island-wide from August 2, 2025.

Prime Minister Pierre disbursed more than $210,000 to over 45 fishers and boat owners who suffered losses due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl last July. Last December, they received over $420,000 from the government to help them get back in their boats and back to fishing.
