A sure-way to get a VC to pass on your company is saying you're doing anything else, but working on that company OR that you're waiting for X to happen to quit.

The longer we have been building, the more I realize the role of any product is to take something insanely complicated and making it simple. This is why feature creep is so dangerous.

In startups, the company is often sexier than the role. See big company folks often falling for a startup role only to realize they hate the job. Some can do both well, but they are very different jobs.

I probably believe in the following things a little too much, but have been a huge help to me. 1. Something is never as risky as you think it is 2. The probability that it won't work out is lower than you think 3. Even the worst case scenario isn't actually that bad
