#OnThisDay 1982 HMS SHEFFIELD is hit by Argentine Exocet becoming the first Royal Navy ship lost in action since 1945. Though the missile did not detonate it started fires that killed 20 sailors. 260 were rescued by HMS ARROW. SHEFFIELD later sank under tow #remember
