Welcome back to our Wingham wellness group! Today was an exciting day as we relaunched our in-person Falls Prevention Program in Wingham this morning. This class was temporarily on hold due to the pandemic, with some but not all participating in our virtual program.

ONE CARE employees attended the Huron Remarkable Healthcare Workers Recognition Event, which is held to show appreciation for local health care employees and volunteers. Congratulations to all of the recipients - both those who are a part of our team and those in our community.

Thank you to Sunset Community Foundation for their generous donation which provided funding for us to buy two new wheelchairs for our Adult Day Centre in Grand Bend. Having these new wheelchairs allows our clients to get around safetly and comfortably.

The Mayor of Goderich, Trevor Bazinet, delivered meals to local clients in support of our March for Meals campaign. A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Bazinet for his help, and dedication to understadning the needs in our community!

Our MOW program provides the necessary nutrition for good health, and our volunteers are crucial to the wellbeing of people living alone. They perform a valuable security and welfare check for isolated clients. -Kathy Scanlon, Executive Director of ONE CARE.

After learning about the needs in our community, Melville Presbyterian Church in Brussels chose ONE CARE as their "special mission project" for the month of February. We are so grateful for their generous donation so that we can continue to provide services to those in need.

As part of our Joint Accreditation Survey with the Huron Perth & Area OHT, our surveyor is visiting ONE CARE locations across Huron Perth. We are pleased to have her meet with our staff and clients to better understand and document the quality of care that we provide.

Today is the final day for our Accreditation where the @AccredCanada Surveyors share their findings and observations with our team. We want to celebrate our #Accreditation successes and to thank our staff and volunteers for providing quality care each and every day!
