Editing something special for Frank Cottrell-Boyce’s guest edit of #r4today as we attempt to support his mission of getting babies on the radio. Frank’s programme is on Christmas Eve and it’s going to be wonderful!

Been catching up… That moment - the sensation of the flash of electric blue - is just so resonant of so many brushes with nature and kingfisher’s particularly. Beautifully described

Joyful shouting time … gazing out of the kitchen window at a sky which surely cried out for a swift and there two of them arced - joyful. “You actually scared me,” commented the 15 yo just out of bed. Ah well!!

This was definitely in the category of “did that really happen?!” Sitting in darkness beside the bush of a singing male nightingale being accompanied by amazing musicians. As one said, he’s The Original! A truly awe inspiring connection with nature. singingwithnightingales.co.uk
