The thing is pretty much every large crowd leaves mess, has bams and inevitably there will be fights, that is Scotland. Not every crowd will receive days, even weeks, of coverage and wall to wall mock horror and condemnation from journalists and politicians though.

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

It's moments like this you are reminded of Scotland's silent majority. We don't need to campaign, protest, shout or scream. We simply live our lives quietly in our country. Ignore the petulant noise from the minority. The streets we line are British. Rest easy Ma'am 🇬🇧
