The SNP have presided over a housing crisis across Scotland. I have scrutinised their Housing Bill and forced them to make common-sense changes that support rural communities like the Borders.

The Scottish Government has signalled a potential shift in its controversial visitor levy policy, acknowledging industry concerns and committing to exploring alternative models, such as a flat-rate charge. The move comes as Orkney Islands Council becomes the latest local

The SNP’s visitor levy plan is in chaos. Today I called for ministers to pause this controversial tourist tax. Hotel and B&B operators across Dumfriesshire have raised real concerns and it’s time the SNP listened to them.

Economic suicide being the big one. The City of Edinburgh Council has not done due diligence on total costs to business only hoped for gains. We're on the precipice of pricing ourselves out of contention & a collapse of our last big revenue earner in #Scotland. #SaveSC

Genuine question for @thesnp. Why when there is clear evidence of a failed policy do they stick with it? Examples stacking up.. STL licensing Minimum unit pricing Opioid dependency Attainment gap Gender Recognition Visitor Levy

Heartened to see yet another council turning its back on the economically damaging visitor levy introduced by @thesnp. A simple flat fee levy at a sensible amount is what's needed. Ivan McKee MSP Kate Forbes MSP newsroom.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/news/east-ayrs…
