South Entrance, 1974, by Harlan Kredit. The South Entrance was first established in the 1890s, but it took many years for a decent road to be built and for tourists to use this approach to the Park. #OldYellowstone

Grand Geyser, 1923. It was named in 1871 during the Hayden Geological Survey, and is the tallest predictable geyser in the world, erupting every 7-15 hours at heights up to 200 feet. #oldyellowstone

Madison Junction Museum, 1939 & 1940. Built in 1929-30 as a “trailside Museum,” allowing visitors traveling by car to learn about the Park. It now houses an information station & ynpforever store, & is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. yellowstoneinsider.com/2015/06/30/mad…

Lamar Buffalo Ranch, November 1929. The ranch was built in 1915 as part of a strategy to feed and breed bison, after their numbers in the Park were counted at only 25 in 1901. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. #oldyellowstone
