I fucking love Darren Aronofsky and Caught Stealing was genuinely the first movie I’ve watched this year where I haven’t left the cinema feeling somewhat cheated. He got the 90’s down perfectly and Austin Butler was exceptional. I absolutely fuck with this movie.

Caught Stealing (2025): More serious than the trailer suggests, which was a positive surprise. It has bold moves, while plays with dark comedy elements. Idles’ OST rules, Austin Butler is cool. Still Aronofsky, but feels like Guy Ritchie sometimes - 8/10

It was really good, loved the grungy vibes of the 90s and fun heist caper, it goes crazy with how brutal it gets but Austin Butler gives a fantastic performance. Someone needs to give Hank a break, he suffers more than me 😭

#CaughtStealing swings from hilarious to brutally dark in a heartbeat. Austin Butler delivers, and so does the entire cast. Loved the grungy 90’s NYC setting and soundtrack. Man, I miss the 90’s.

Caught Stealing The trailers make this seem like a dark comedy and while humor is here the film is incredibly tense and pretty dark throughout the runtime. Every performance is well done especially by Austin Butler and Matt Smith. Good film overall by Aronofsky 7/10
