We had the 2nd LMU-Todai econometrics workshop on July 24-26. Econometricians from Munich and Tokyo and other places gathered, learned each other’s research, and exchanged ideas. It was a wonderful workshop. Hope we continue this collaboration.

Attended the Kansai Econometric Association Meeting at Miyazaki Municipal University! Miyazaki is wonderful — much warmer than Tokyo. Really encouraging to see more and better young researchers every year. Excited for the future of econometrics!

Visited the University of Macau for a seminar talk! The university has grown significantly in recent years and is becoming notably stronger in econometrics. It was a great pleasure to meet so many outstanding econometricians there. It is still expanding further. Impressive.
