Can’t tell you all how excited I am for tonight! Ok maybe I can…WOOOOOHOOOOO!! Man I love playoff hockey!! #LetsGoOilers Time to go duck hunting 🦆 💥

I have seen the script. The Edmonton Oilers couldn’t win the cup last year because they hadn’t slayed all their past demons. En route to a Stanley cup this year they will avenge their past loses to ANH (2017), AVS (2022), and finally the Canes (2006). THIS IS THE YEAR!

A great 40 minutes! Second period was ugly. Ingram was good enough with some BIG saves down the stretch. Most importantly Oilers win without McDavid on the scoresheet. Murphy and Dickinson have been EXACTLY what this team needed. Big 1st win. 1/6 #Letsgooilers

It will be interesting to see what adjustments Knoblauch makes next game. Savoie had moments but looked like he was playing his 1st playoff game. 2nd line obviously you don’t touch. Roslovic was good defensively but very, very quiet. RNH same thing. 4th line I leave as well.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The Draisaitl line is the only positive thing going right now. RNH needs to find another gear. Are the Oilers too banged up? Knoblauch needs to make some adjustments to find another line.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Playoff Draisaitl is just a beast. Not enough people talk about how good he is in the playoffs. Leon is carrying right now.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I hope Draisaitl has his “this isn’t good enough” moment and yells at Connor, RNH and Bouch. The top guys aside from Draisaitl have not been good enough. I have never seen this version of McDavid.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Good news is that the Oilers have not been good. Only one line going. McDavid has played his two worst games I’ve seen him play. The series is tied. The bad news is the Oilers only have 1 line going and that’s not going to win this series. The PP needs to get going.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I cannot wait for McDavid to go nuclear and shut up all these narratives. So many people dunking on him. Nobody can do what he does. This is only going to fuel the fire. He will find his game.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I am guilty for thinking the Edmonton Oilers were going to sweep the Ducks. It’s playoffs. Let’s screw our heads on Oil country and prepare for a 7 game series. Key players are still getting healthy. It’s 1-1 and McDavid doesn’t have a point. LA was up 2-0 last year. Let’s go!

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

In nearly 97 playoff games Connor McDavid has only gone 2 games without a point 5 times (including yesterday). In all other instances he responded with a point, most often multiple. He has never gone 3 without a point.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Connor McDavid will have 1-1 tonight and enters the chat. Powerplay enters the chat with a PP goal. Oilers win 4-2. Book it.

Back against the wall this core group of Oilers has ALWAYS found their best. This is the poorest we have seen this core group play. Can they find that defensively sound game? Depth hasn’t been an issue for a change. It’s time to simplify & go to dump and chase hockey.

Den Polland (@oilersgm2) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I would go to Jarry for game 4. That was the trade you made to address goaltending. He’s been good for giving up 4+ a game since becoming an Oiler. Something Ingram has also done these playoffs. Knoblauch will have to get creative.

I’d run Draisaitl - McDavid - Frederic Podkolzin - RNH - Hyman Savoie - Dickinson - Kapanen Dach - Somanski - Roslovic Or Frederic - McDavid - Hyman Podkolzin- Draisaitl - Kapanen Somanski - RNH - Savoie Dach - Lazar - Roslovic
